Maintenance and Repair of Marine Loading Arms – Tobruk Terminal
Summary of the project
The project involves an EPC contract for the maintenance and repair of two marine loading arms located at Jetty No. 1 and Jetty No. 2 at the Tobruk Terminal. The terminal is equipped with eight marine loading arms, originally delivered and installed in 1985 for the Arabian Gulf Oil Company, of which six are currently operational.
The project scope includes a comprehensive inspection of all eight marine loading arms and a complete overhaul of two damaged units, carried out in close cooperation with the original manufacturer, Woodfield Systems Ltd. BPC’s responsibilities cover Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing, Commissioning, and Putting into Operation, ensuring full compliance with manufacturer requirements and international standards.
Upon completion, the refurbished marine loading arms will be tested, commissioned, and returned to full operational service, enhancing the safety and reliability of jetty loading operations.
